Five Offbeat Eateries. Recommended by Gatis Mūrnieks.
I have repeatedly come to the conclusion that, more than the quality and sophistication of the food served at cafes and restaurants, pubs and clubs, I am interested in the people who work there – their attitude to clients, environment and the world they live in. It has quite often been the main criterion in my choice of places for taking a meal. Over the past couple of years, I have realised that I am drawn to eateries of the sort: I know of at least five of them, made so very different and, at the same time, so similar (as demonstrated below) by the added value of the folks working there; it is the people that makes me want to keep returning.
