One of the best known and prestigious contemporary art galleries in New York; Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Francesco Clemente are among the numerous artists who have exhibited their work at the Gagosian Gallery. The main building is located on Madison Avenue but in 1999 a 25 000 km² exhibition hall was opened in Chelsea. Sculptures by Richard Serra and Georg Baselitz's works have been exhibited there.
