Hotel Cristal
Small, yet special lodgings are typical to Paris hotel scene, like exquisite treasures from a family jewel case. Although it may appear that all the themes and styles are already covered, and nothing new can possibly be invented, there are newcomers that manage to amaze, proving that fantasy and imagination knows no boundaries at all. Hôtel Cristal Champs-Élysées can be named among them and undeniably is one of the brightest débutants of the recent time.
The small luxury lodging features just 26 rooms, the lines and perspectives of their décor being inspired by crystals, so multifaceted and enigmatic at the same time. Set in a historic 5- storey 19th-century building, the hotel is like a labyrinth of surprises. A stairway - a centerpiece of the building leads through its magic world of sensations and makes you feel a bit like Alice in Wonderland. Each individually decorated room provides ultimate comfort, at the same time challenging any habitual and clichéd perceptions of interior. Contrasting colors on pastel background dominate and define their geometry. Bright red, purple and orange irregular, floor-to-ceiling, zigzag patterns create a specific optic rhythm of rooms. The design has been created with particular attention paid to touchy-feely sensations as well - your feet pleasantly sink into soft carpets and soothing light from crystal lamps tenderly envelope you. All the furniture is custom-made especially for the Hôtel Cristal.
