It is hardly a secret that, while staying at a hotel, people tend to get up to things they normally wouldn't try at home. It must be the impersonality of the hotel room and the sinful awareness that there would not be any evidence left behind you that get your juices flowing. From this point of view, the concept of the new Paris Vice Versa Hotel that embodies the seven deadly sins - lust, envy, sloth, pride, greed, wrath and gluttony - really hits the nail on the head. The idea belongs to Chantal Thomass, the French queen of boudoirs and lingerie who has dressed the new hotel from head to toe, as it were: all the details of the interior (including the furniture, design objects and textiles) were designed by her. In keeping with the designer's style, the décor lacks neither lace and ruffles, nor a playfully risqué feel while still retaining a genuinely Parisian elegance. The six-storey hotel features 37 rooms and you, following an intimate consultation with your own conscience, can choose to spend the night in one of the 'lust' rooms dominated by pink and black with a touch of lace - or, say, in a boudoir that embodies the little devil of envy, equipped with luxury accessories and stylised 'jewellery' and 'perfume vials'. As for the completely white lobby, it has been nicknamed 'heaven' while the basement hamam is also known as 'hell'. The three-starred Vice Versa Hotel is located near the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre.
