Sanctum

If the late Helmut Newton was alive, Sanctum, the new Berlin shoe store, could have become his paradise. The stock is limited to high-heeled shoes and only high-heeled shoes in every possible variation. Shoes - sculptures and shoes - decorative extravagances, so very like the ones Newton's models used to wear for his photo shoots, as often as not - as the only wardrobe items. According to the owners, the shop's collection is created with the thoroughness of a passionate shoe aficionado/curator, attending all of the most prestigious footwear fairs worldwide. The list of the represented brands range from John Galliano, Viktor & Rolf, Nina Ricci and Alexander McQueen to Michael Kors and new and not quite so well-known names.
