Tom Ford Menswear Boutique

Tom Ford first European boutique, opened in Milan in the end of June 2008, can hardly be regarded as a traditional menswear store. Spreading over five floors, it seems more like a huge luxury department store. Moreover, Tom Ford is so self-sufficient that can afford presenting just one brand there - that is his own. Its décor, featuring dark wood, brown velvet and marble, is absolutely perfect, like an impeccably cut and starched white shirt. Collections of garments and accessories, displayed in stylized wardrobes, seem to be part of décor, not something meant to be worn in dusty streets of metropolis. A "marble temple" of the ground floor features entire collection of Tom Ford perfumes, including Italian Cypress, created especially for Milan boutique. A big vase is overflowing with aromatic, white peonies, while upstairs are highlighted by bunches of yellow orchids. A fancy interior detail is furniture that once has belonged to Franco Zeffirelli. All-in-all it serves as an ideal background for the freshest James Bond, embodied by Daniel Kreig and anticipating its premiere in November, clad in Tom Ford label clothing.
