MAXXI
30 May sees one of the most eagerly awaited museum projects - MAXXI or the National Museum of the 21st Century Arts - finally open its doors in Rome. Designed by Zaha Hadid, MAXXI is the first Italian national art museum completely dedicated to contemporary art in all of its manifestations. Located in the district of Flaminio, the former premises of the Montello barracks, the museum was conceived as a multi-disciplinary space or a sort of „camp" dedicated to experiments and innovations in art and architecture. MAXXI comprises two separate institutions: MAXXI Arte and MAXXI Architecture. The new museum's collection already boasts over 300 works by the likes of Richter, Kapoor, Clemente, Warhol, et al. Like any self-respecting museum, MAXXI also houses a library, bookstore, cafe, etc. The costs of the project amounted to EUR 150 million; an estimated 200-400 thousand people are expected to visit the museum every year.

I'm so disappointed, this place is so bad organized I feel like I don't even wanna see the museum anymore.. It makes me so sad that a place this famous, this gorgeous is treated so bad, who's to blame? Maybe another stupid guy who got the job of running this museum thanks to his friend or family.
