Other Criteria

Damien Hirst, the virtuoso showman of contemporary art, is continuing to till the field of art commercialisation. Recently, the Other Criteria publishing company, founded by Hirst in 2005, opened another - its second - concept gallery/shop in London. It offers contemporary Hirst-style "delights", or a bit of art for the masses. Books, limited edition clothing items, accessories, jewellery, design objects, photographs, posters. The team of prominent authors is headed by Hirst himself and consists of likeminded well-known and young artists. Here you will find T-shirts styled by Tracey Emin and Jeff Koons (£30-45) and Cindy Sherman's Madame de Pompadour tea service (£4000), Hirst's deckchair (£300) and, of course, an entire collection of T-shirts featuring the most publicised art object of the 21st Century - the diamond-encrusted skull (in all possible variations).
